Redactions

During the disclosure process of investigations, certain sensitive information not in scope needs to be hidden on disclosed documents. This process is called redacting, which historically involved covering information with black boxes, and can include color-coded overlays with text descriptions or identifying numbering.

While eReview platforms already include good redaction capabilities for smaller scale redaction tasks, on larger cases some form of automation is often needed.

This automation, such as using rule-based redactions, help review teams to cope with large quantities of documents, and reduces the risk of human error for repetitive redaction.
