Consultant - Digital Investigations & eDiscovery

Swiss FTS AG is a Swiss consulting firm specialising in Digital Investigations, Digital Forensics, eDiscovery and Information Governance. From our offices in Zurich and Lausanne, we support law firms, corporations, public institutions and regulators in matters involving electronic evidence, investigations and litigation.
Our work helps clients make sense of large volumes of data and find the facts that matter when facing legal, regulatory or business challenges.
To strengthen our client delivery team, we are looking for a consultant who is curious, analytical and eager to develop their expertise in investigations, eDiscovery and consulting.
Location: Glattbrugg (Zurich)
Preferred start date: As soon as possible or by agreement
Your Role
As a consultant, you will support client engagements and work alongside experienced consultants on a variety of investigations, eDiscovery and advisory matters.
You will help analyse client challenges, develop practical solutions and deliver high-quality work that supports successful project outcomes. As your experience grows, you will progressively take on greater responsibility in client interactions, project delivery and advisory activities.
This role offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise at the intersection of technology, investigations and consulting.
Key Responsibilities
Client Delivery
- Contribute to digital investigations, digital forensics, eDiscovery, information governance and related consulting engagements.
- Understand client challenges and support the development of practical solutions.
- Assist with data identification, preservation, collection, processing, review or analysis workflows, advisory steps and other project activities.
- Prepare reports, presentations and client deliverables.
- Ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Contribute to a high level of client satisfaction and service quality
Project support
- Execute project activities reliably and to a high standard.
- Follow established methodologies, processes and best practices. Escalate risks, issues or uncertainties when appropriate.
- Contribute to project documentation and reporting.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Share knowledge and collaborate across teams.
- Contribute ideas to improve processes, methodologies and services.
- Support internal initiatives where appropriate.
- Contribute to maintaining and improving Swiss FTS documentation.
What We Are Looking For
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Digital Forensics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience
- Initial professional experience in eDiscovery, Digital Forensics, Digital Investigations, Information Governance, Litigation Support, or a related consulting environment.
- Interest in investigations, technology and solving complex client challenges.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain technical topics clearly and concisely.
- Structured and reliable approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Curiosity, initiative and willingness to learn.
Technical Knowledge
- Knowledge of a database query languages such as SQL.
- Hands-on experience in programming or scripting languages such as Python or Ruby.
Experience with one or more of the following is considered an advantage:
- Relativity
- Nuix
- Cellebrite and FTK imager
- Other investigation, eDiscovery or digital forensics platforms
Languages
- Professional fluency in English.
- Professional fluency in French and/or German.
